Project WeH.O.P.E. was developed in response to a need in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties to provide to families hope and positive alternatives to drugs, violence, illiteracy, and other elements that can destroy young lives. Project WeH.O.P.E.'s mission is to develop children and families to individually and collectively excel. Current programs S.T.A.N.D. - The program addresses the developmental needs of struggling youth (ages 11-18) who are not succeeding in school. Its success is credited to the one-on-one attention the students receive, as well as the exposure students have to successful students and professionals through on-site tutoring and seminars, respectively. S.U.C.C.E.E.D. - A Debutante Cotillion Program for graduating high school African American, Latino, Asian and Pacific Islander females. A Cotillion Ball is the finale for five months of philanthropic, cultural, business, and social training, welcoming the debutante into a world of civic responsibility and social awareness. House of Hope - The working male homeless and students trying to complete their higher education degrees need affordable housing. The House of Hope has a work-readiness training module in which participants receive a small stipend while learning basic job skills. For more information
